My friend Dan is a long time missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ. He's currently serving at UCBerkley, and he sent out this cool email for Palm Sunday. I thought it was worth sharing. May you feel connected to Jesus this Holy Week.

Greetings in the name of the Lord,
I've been reading through the Gospel of Matthew paying careful attention to what Jesus said and did. Last week I just happened to be reading through the very section where Jesus enters Jerusalem as King! What I read was so profound that Palm Sunday this year shall take on a whole new meaning for me. I am awestruck by what Jesus said AND did to display His authority on Palm Sunday. Matthew's Gospel records seven things that speak to the magnificent Savior the Lord Jesus Christ truly is:
1. Jesus entered the temple area upon his arrival (he goes right to His Father's House).
2. Jesus upsets all the tables of the merchants who were clogging the courts (of the women and the Gentiles).
3. Jesus proclaimed the entire area to be a house of prayer (for all nations, all peoples--Isaiah 56).
4. Jesus heals the lame and blind people who found Him in the temple area (who had been banned from the temple).
5. Jesus receives praise from the children in the temple area who cry out, "Hosanna to the Son of David!"
6. Jesus defends them against the indignation of the Chief Priests by quoting Psalm 8.2.
7. Jesus leaves Jerusalem and goes to Bethany to spend the night (He doesn't seize politcal power).
"Praise And Laurels (to the) Master" on this P.A.L.M. Sunday.
Hosanna in the highest! Yours Truly,
Daniel Curran

More from Japan
Peter Thompson gets 8 whole paragraphs in this article http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20110406f1.html from Japan Times.
We also need to pray for the Thompson children as they process these events. Let's pray for them as we pray for all the remaining children and people of Japan.
